The work shown here was made between 2007 & 2009 during my undergraduate studies in ceramics at the Kansas City Art Institute. The grouping of objects demonstrates an exploration into ceramic forming processes including: slip casting, hand building, and wheel throwing. Looking back, I notice my first conceptual ideas emerge as I experiment with form, function and surface design that would eventually become the foundations for my exploration into restaurant service ware.
